B&Q forecasts retro future for home decor in 2008

Decoista

B&Q has been looking into its crystal ball - and probably its order book - predicting that 2008 will be a year of retro home design and an end to minimalism.

According to B&Q Design Manager Fionnuala Johnston, bold retro patterns, inspired by designs from the 50s and 60s, will feature heavily in textile and wall covering ranges this year - typified by the picture above, which features items from the store's Contemporary range.

No news on the specific items in that range - we'll let you know if we spot anything instore.
