Samsung launches NV24HD digital camera - with ability to shoot high-definition movies

Samsung has just announced a clutch of new digital cameras, most pretty forgettable and not much different than everything else already out there - with the exception of this rather clever NV24HD.

What's so special? Well, you shoot high-definition video on the camera, then hook it up to your HD-ready TV with the included cable to impress your friends. And it's a 10 megapixel camera too, with features including Advanced Shake Reduction to cope with the occasional wobble, dual picture stabilisation to reduce blur, contrast control and a 2.5-inch AM-OLED screen, all wrapped up in a polished metal case.

All of that will be available from March for £249.
