RIM launches the BlackBerry Flip smartphone
The BlackBerry - once the emblem of the overworked office worker - has gone down the fashion route with launch of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone.
Yes, it's a BlackBerry, but not as we know it - that 'flip' design and chrome-finished frame looking every bit the modern mobile. But it certainly packs a punch in terms of features, including two displays (inside and out) for checking your messages and emails (it is a BlackBerry, after all), not to mention web browsing and video viewing.
There's also a fully-featured media player, 2 megapixel camera and BlackBerry maps for leisure time, along with document editing software and Wi-Fi should work call. It's arriving in the next couple of months - no price details as yet.
