And we love it. It's got a tempered glass top that slides off the oak veneer mini storage area, doubling the surface area in the process, with the whole thing stood on an aluminium leg. And it;s so useful - as a bedside table, telephone table, side table - you name it, the Stockholm side table is up to the job.

Philippe Starck has shifted his attention to home audio, specifically to the Zikmu wireless speakers for Parrot.
Standing around 75cm tall, the speakers have a dock for an iPod or iPhone on top - or if you have something else (MP3 player, phone, laptop etc), you can hook up wirelessly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. According to blurb, you get '360-degree immersive sound' (think room filling) and a matching designer remote. After all, it's all about the detail when it comes to good design.
Look out for them in spring 2009, selling for around £1,000.
