Sony launches the fashion-friendly Vaio Mini W-series netbook

Not just any old netbook, the Sony Vaio Mini W-series netbook is the netbook for the in-crowd.

Under that colourful surface, this isn't anything out of the ordinary - a 10.1-inch model with 16:9 widescreen display, a well-spaced keyboard, 160GB hard drive, Intel N280 Atom processor, 1GB RAM, a web cam and Windows XP. But it does have that colourful finish, along with a colour matched carrying case, a 'designer' touchpad and dimpled palm rest.

Look out for it next month, probably priced around the £400 mark.
