Telling Tales Exhibition at the V & A.

Telling tales

Telling Tales has just opened at the V & A and the teasers on the website make it look very tempting.

The exhibition explores the trend among European designers for one-off and limited edition pieces. These works often push the boundaries between art and design, with fantastical themes and elaborate decoration.

The exhibition is divided into three areas: The Forest Glade, The Enchanted Castle and Heaven and Hell. The designers featured include Tord Boontje, and products showcased include furniture, lighting and ceramics. Shown above is 'Witch' chair by Tord Boontje which accompanies the contrasting 'Princess' chair.

Telling Tales runs until the 18th October and admission is free. Find out more on the V & A website.
