NTT Docomo Japan Touch Wood Phones by Ryuichi Sakamoto

Ntt_wood

Not your average phone, every one of the NTT Docomo Japan Touch Wood Phones by Ryuichi Sakamoto are unique.

Why? Simple - the phones are being produced as a joint venture with the More Trees reforestation project, made from specially treated wood from the thinned forests in Japan managed by the More Trees’ project. And as each uses its own piece of wood, the grain and colouring will always be unique to each handset. Water resistant too, should you be worried about long term use.

Not that it's a pressing issue right now. The Touch Wood Phones are only being shown off right now as prototypes. If enough interest is drummed up, they'll probably make it into production - although only in Japan.
