Tesco to offer iPhone in its stores and online from December 14th

Tesco_iphone

It's still not been confirmed officially, but a Tesco insider has confirmed to us that the iPhone will be offered in its stores and online from Monday December 14th 2009 via the Tesco Mobile network.

That's two weeks from tomorrow, giving you almost two weeks to pick it up before Christmas, should your nearest and dearest have one on their list. How much? We don't know that yet, but we have been told it 'will be cheaper' than the Orange and O2 deals for both PAYG and contract, despite the Tesco Mobile network being part owned by O2. But let's be honest, Tesco couldn't enter the market without being cheaper, could it?

Obviously, last minute hitches could delay things, but we've been told that management is working flat out towards that 14th December date, so if you want one, make sure you have some spare time early on that day free.
