Sony Ericsson goes green with Elm and Hazel mobile phones
Sony Ericsson is keen to go green, showing off two new eco-friendly phones for early 2010 - the Sony Ericsson Elm and Hazel.
Why so green? Well, because both phones have recycled plastic construction (using no hazardous chemicals), an e-manual in the phone, a low power consumption charger, a Walk Mate eco application, a green calculator, minimal packaging and the use of waterborne paint. That's why they're green.
Admittedly neither phone is the most stylish on the market, but they're pretty tasty in terms of features, offering up an ergonomic design, high-end sound, back-up of your personal information 'over the air', easy access to leading social network sites (Facebook, MySpace and Twitter), a 5-megapixel camera, satellite navigation, weather forecasts and of course, a media and all your phone essentials.
The Sony Ericsson Elm phone and the Sony Ericsson Hazel phone will be available in the colours Metal Black and Pearly Rose from the first quarter of 2010. The Sony Ericsson Hazel will be available in the colours Superior Black and Passionate Rouge from the middle of 2010.
