Puma and Sagem team up to a do a mobile phone; call it Puma Phone

Pumaphone

We're firmly in the Adidas camp when it comes to trainers, but we're not averse to a small selection of Puma's goodies now and again. So we might just be the target market for the Puma Phone.

Produced in conjunction with Sagem, it represents 'the joy, spontaneity and individuality that the Puma brand is known for,' says the company's chief, Jochen Zeitz. Shame it's not the most cutting edge, although to be fair, it's pretty decent in its offering. That means a 2.8 inch 'thumbable' touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash and zoom, Bluetooth photo sharing, VGA video recording, music player, FM radio, GPS navigation, a pedometer, GPS tracker and stopwatch for sports lovers, all the email and messaging you would expect, net browsing, solar charging and high-speed HSDPA data connectivity.

The Puma Phone will be available through mobile network operators across Europe and at Puma online stores from April 2010 - price still to be confirmed.
