Issey Miyake Perfume - Ettore Sottsass Edition
What do you buy the design-obsessed lady in your life? Well, you could start with the Issey Miyake Perfume - Ettore Sottsass Edition.
Here's the story - in 1997 the late Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass produced three drawings for Issey Miyake as concepts for a new perfume bottle. The sketches were not immediately used and lay in Miyake's office for over a decade. When Sottsass passed away in 2007, prior to a retrospective exhibition at the Design Museum, Miyake decided to develop the bottle as a tribute to his late friend.
What does it smell like? We don't know, but we do know that this is probably the last work by the iconic designer and as such, well worth owning. Each 100ml bottle of perfume is smartly packaged and presented and is an individually numbered limited edition of 2000 and is yours for £198.
