Belux Lantern lamps

Originally produced as part of the Vitra Home Collection, these Lanterns lamps available again, courtesy of Belux.

Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, they are so named because of the similarity to the Chinese lantern, but rather than paper, these bulbous lamps are made from two identically shaped plastic bowls (in a range of colours), separated by a horizontal black plastic ring.

There's a choice of either a table lamp version or a floor lamp, the latter adding a matt black powder-coated steel frame with a round floor plate. Prices start at around £280.
