Intempo Rebel - convert the radio into your own free MP3 library

Forget illegal music downloading, the Intempo Rebel can provide your favourite tracks for free - and according to the company, it's all above board.

Essentially it's a radio with a trick up its sleeve. Keep playing your favourite FM station and the patented PopCatcher technology will to record up to 40 of the most played music tracks, automatically cutting out the DJ chat and the ads, then letting you download optimised versions of songs onto your iPod, MP3 or mobile phone.

And if you want to extend that to DAB or internet radio you can - just hook up the device to either of those things and it can pick out the tracks from there too. Once you've downloaded the 40 tracks, just clear the memory and you are ready for 40 more. The Rebel is available in red or hi-gloss black and will be priced at £69.99 from March.
