Confetti shelf system - art or function?

Confetti

Minimalism is all well and good, but sometimes you just need that splash of colour. Something that the Confetti shelf system offers by the bucketload.

It uses a multitude of four-colour tiles as a backdrop and best of all, you can swap them around to create your own individual look or piece of personal art. Once you've sorted out your colour scheme, you just slip your frosted acrylic shelves into place. Although to be honest, it seems a shame to stick your bits and pieces in front of something so stunning.

Designed by Per Bäckström, it retails for £225.
