No animals were harmed in the making of the Jonathan Adler Tortoise Lamp.

But the animal in the title did inspire it. The 'shade' is hand sculpted into a stylised interpretation of a tortoise shell and with a translucent porcelain finish, offers up a warm glow for your room.

Finished with a polished nickel base and standing round 25 inches high, the lamp sells for $695.
