Tesco to offer iPhone 3G and 3GS from £20 per month on December 14th

Don't say we didn't tell you. As we predicted last month, the Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS is launching in Tesco stores and online from December 14th, but now we've also got the pricing details.

To use a footballing term, it's a game of two halves, with the good side being a £20 per month contract over just 12 months, which gets you £60 of calls and texts each month and unlimited internet and Wi-Fi access. Bad news? The upfront cost of the handsets is high - £222 for the 8GB iPhone 3G, £320 for the 16GB iPhone 3GS and £407 for the 32GB iPhone 3GS. Swings and roundabouts.

Alternatively, there's a pay-as-you-go deal, with Tesco 'tripling' any credit you add - a £15 top up gives you an extra £30 free or a £20 top up gets you £40 free, with that unlimited web and Wi-Fi also thrown in for 12 months.

But yes, once again, you'll be paying for it. That means £342 for an 8GB iPhone 3G, £440 for the 16GB iPhone 3GS or a whopping £538 for the 32GB iPhone 3GS. If you fancy any of the deals, you'll have to get up early on Monday December 14th - we suspect trade will be brisk.
