Obey does Roy Lichtenstein-inspired POW(ER) limited edition print

Power

If you love your classic pop art, but don't mind dipping your toe in the water of contemporary art too, this Roy Lichtenstein-inspired POW(ER) limited edition print by Obey should be up your street.

Obey is, of course, the brand of Shepard Fairey and is his homage to influential pop artist Roy Lichtenstein, who, in his time, used and re-painted comic frames to give them new meaning. Fairey has done something similar with a classic Lichtenstein image, throwing in a reference to modern-day street art for good measure.

The final work is an 18 x 24-inch screenprint, signed and numbered in a run of 450 and certain to be a valuable piece o years to come. But right now you can pick it up for $45. It goes on sale 'at a random time' on the site tomorrow.
