The Design Museum app for iPad
Free apps, we love 'em, especially when they are as interesting as The Design Museum app for iPad.
As we said, a free download and one that explores key moments in design history. That includes the Angelpoise Lamp, the Dyson Vacuum, the Thonet Chair, the Face Magazine, the British Telephone Box, the Vespa and the Kindle (just to add a modern twist).
The App includes video commentary from Deyan Sudjic, Design Museum Director, and Helen Charmen, Design Museum Head of Learning. Stephen Bayley , the Design Museum Founding Director has also written an observation on each item, while short films, images and stories about each object completing the picture.
You can get the iPad app now, with an iPhone app following in May and an Android app in June.
