Vodafone Booster Brolly - keeps you dry and boost your mobile signal
Not just an umbrella, the Vodafone Booster Brolly also enhances your mobile phone signal.
It's an umbrella with a high gain antenna and low power signal repeater, catching radio waves from the nearest Vodafone transmitter before generating a low intensity signal within the mouth of the brolly. Ok, science over. In short, Vodafone customers will get a signal boost.
Not content with boosting the signal, you can also clip our phone to the pole and charge via USB, which is in turn powered twelve two-volt solar panels sewn into the brolly, none of which increases the weight of the umbrella all that much.
It will be trialled at the Isle of Wight Festival this month and if successful, will be rolled out further.
