Microsoft Surface tablet available from 26th October
If you love Windows and can't decide whether a tablet or a laptop is you for you, the Microsoft Surface should be on your radar.
Launched a few weeks back, Microsoft has been a little vague about just when this tablet-like device would be available. That date has now been confirmed as 26th October, which is the same day as Windows 8 becomes available. Just as well, as this is a Windows 8 device.
Aside from that, this iPad competitor offers up an ARM processor and comes with 32 or 64GB storage options, as well as a 10.6-inch HD screen and that eye-catching cover, which fold out to be a touch sensitive keyboard.
What we don't know is the price, but everyone seems to think £400 is a price to work with. If you want more, there's a Surface Pro to follow, which beefs up the specification - and no doubt the price.
